LaAmistad Inc., a community-supported non-profit organization working to empower Latino students and families will be joined by volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church, 805 Mt.Vernon Highway NW, Atlanta to commemorate their acquisition of a new programming bus. The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, according to a press release.

The bus will be used to bolster community access to LaAmistad services like low-cost English classes and educational enrichment activities.

The new vehicle was made possible with a $150,000 grant from The Bank of America Charitable Foundation. The award was part of the foundation’s Hispanic-Latino Economic Mobility Grants initiative, which aims to advance economic and social progress in Latino communities through investments in workforce development, education and basic needs.
